Apart from these subsidiaries, the airline also has stakes in Virgin Atlantic as well as the low cost operator Tiger Airways.

The airline is one of the largest in the world, and in the year 2010 was even quoted by IATA as the 2nd largest airline in the world by way of market capitalization, with an amount to the tune of USD 14 billion.
